Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28th 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actress, singer and voice-actor. Ariel Winter began her professional career as an actor at a young age and was featured in an Cool Whip advertisement when she was just six years old. She got her first television acting role when she was just 7 years old on an episode of the CBS comedy Listen Up!. Her next TV appearance was roles in shows like Monk Bones and ER. In 2007, she was cast in the role of Gretchen as part of her role on the Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. In the following year she was able to get her breakthrough live-action character as Alex Dunphy on the hit television series Modern Family. Alongside the other Modern Family co-stars, she has been awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award four times, including the award for Best Ensemble Comedy Series. Ariel is still voicing characters from films like ParaNorman Cloudy, With A Chance Of Meatballs & Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel has been awarded a purple belt in Taekwondo. She is the sister to Shanelle Workman. She is a fervent singer as well as a singer in the band WickedSweet. She also participates in environmental charities working to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle.
