Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mother. Her parents, however, did not let her perform until she was an adult due to the impact stress might be able to have on their daughter. Perry said that she was shy to act at the age of 16, but she began doing shows in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she landed small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness caused Perry back to California which was where theatre jobs were in demand. She appeared on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, she played a supporting role in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal that starred her father. In addition, she played the young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The character was picked via auditions though she had a close relationship with the show.
